As the number of Covid-19 continues to grow above 5,000 cases every day, FMCO and EMCO implemented in the country causes more job losses and business closure in the recent months.
Government has just launched the PEMULIH (Pakej Perlindungan Rakyat & Pemulihan Ekonomi) stimulus package to facilitate businesses and individuals to tide through hardships caused by the Covid-19 situation.
PEMULIH STIMULUS PACKAGE involves a fiscal injection of RM10 billion and is worth RM150 billion
A one-off RM500 cash aid will be given to those who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic – this scheme is expected to benefit approximately 1 million citizens based on EPF/SOCSO data.
Successful job applicants on the MyFutureJobs portal will get an allowance of RM300.
The job seeker’s allowance will be extended to new graduates and those in informal sectors. Citizens who wish to apply can complete their registration on MYFutureJobs – successful applicants will receive an allowance of at least RM300. Place and Train initiative by HRD Corp helps lower the unemployment rate of young graduates.
RM125mil will be injected to HRD Corp (Human Resource Development Corporation) to facilitate the Place and Train initiative. The initiative will provide 30,000 people (e.g: graduates and school-leavers) with training and confirmed job placements. The incentive of RM1,000 for Micro SMEs under GKP 4.0 is open for registration.
Micro SMEs will receive additional assistance of RM1000 (RM500 in September and November respectively) under the GKP 4.0 grant initiative. RM500 will be given out under the GKP 3.0 initiative by mid-July. Check your status of the application over here.
Cash assistance of RM600 per worker for 4 months is available for application too.
RM3.8bil will be allocated to implement the Wage Subsidy Scheme for employers to support up to 500 workers each, with the assistance of RM600 per worker for 4 months. So, what's the difference between Penjana Kerjaya 2.0 and Penjana Kerjaya 3.0?
What’s changed for Penjana Kerjaya 3.0 compared to Penjana Kerjaya 2.0?
- The date of employment for staff hired to be eligible for this claim has changed to be 15 June, 2021 onwards. Staff hired before 15 June, 2021 is no longer applicable for the subsidy.
- The salary eligibility limit has been reduced from RM1,500 to RM1,200 ringgit, under the Malaysianisation program, which seeks to push for more local employment; and
- Employment contract reduces from 12 months to six months for employees aged 50 years and above, as well as the disabled.
Who in Your Organization is Eligible to Apply for This Penjana Kerjaya 3.0 Hiring Incentive Program?
* New hires after 15 June 2021 with salary minimum RM1,200.
*Minimum salary for Malaysianization program is RM1,200. (Staffs under Malaysianization program means staffs hired to replace a foreign worker)
*Fresh graduates aged 18 – 30 years old (never work in any company before, with salary minimum RM1,200)
*For contract staffs, the contract period in the offer letter has to be at least 6 months. (If the new hire is aged 50 and above or disabled, then minimum contract period is 3 months)

- SSM / ROC / ROS Business Registration Number verified by Bank
- Perkeso ASSIST Employer Number
- Employee details (Name and IC number)
- Offer Letter for each employee/ Contract of Service
- Employer’s bank account information (copy of the front page of the Bank Statement with employer’s name, bank account number, and bank’s name)
- Employee Verification Form signed by the employee.
- Certificate / Self-declaration by the employer if the employee belongs to the vulnerable group

Get your new hire from myFutureJobs, or ask your existing new hire after 15 June, 2021 to create an account on MyFutureJobs portal.
Make sure your new hire apply for the job you’ve created.
